Tommy Donoghue
President and Co-Founder
Planting the Seed Foundation

Tommy is a 1998 graduate of Westfield State College with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and has been a fire fighter for city of Worcester since 2004. Tommy enjoys working with local youth, not just through the Planting the Seed foundation, but on the athletic fields.

Tommy coached high school football from 1996-2003 for Worcester Vocational High School. He also has been a volunteer high school baseball coach since 1997; spending the first 14 years coaching at Worcester Voke / Worcester Tech, then at Millbury High School since 2011. Tommy resides in Worcester with his wife and pets.

In 1999, Tommy was a Juvenile Probation Officer and it was then that he realized he wanted to do more for the children in his community. It was then in 1999 that he started to volunteer at a local Christmas toy drive, which collected gifts for local needy children in the Worcester area. Since then, that Christmas Toy drive has evolved into what we know as the Planting the Seed Foundation today.
